High Risk of Late Blight in Potatoes: How to Prevent It?

Kathmandu, December 9 – Due to the influence of the westerly winds, there is a possibility of dense fog and rainfall in the Terai region for a few days, increasing the risk of late blight disease in potatoes. To protect the crop from this disease, apply the protective fungicide Mancozeb 75% WP at 1.5-2 grams per liter of water or Saaf Mancozeb at 1.25 grams per liter of water.

If symptoms have already appeared, mix Metalaxyl+Mancozeb or Cymoxanil+Metalaxyl at 1.5 grams per liter of water and spray thoroughly, ensuring the leaves are well coated. Always wear protective gear while applying the pesticide.
